I am starting the Speech and language therapist apprenticeship in September 2024.
I’m very excited that this is now an option and opportunity for me. The apprenticeship has allowed me to progress within my workplace. This is more accessible to me and much more achievable being a mum as well.
I have developed the necessary skills and expertise to be appointed into my current role and establish my position within the NLAG Trust. This experience has prepared the foundations for further study and secured me a place on the Level 6 course which starts in September 2024. Although I have not yet started, I am very excited about becoming a registered Speech and Language Therapist.

For anyone considering training to be an allied health professional, I would advice looking at the apprenticeship opportunities available within your chosen profession. For me I know this was the best option as:
